biological deodorization The biodegradation treatment of exhaust gas (also known as biological, biochemical, or biocatalytic methods) is actually carried out according to the principle of wastewater biochemical treatment. The invention of biofilters can be traced back to Richard D. Pomeroy's patent in 1957. Due to the fact that biological degradation is carried out at room temperature and pressure, its energy consumption, operating costs, and investment are relatively low compared to other methods, and there is no secondary pollution. Therefore, it has considerable competitiveness in various purification methods for exhaust gas. The biological deodorization process adopts a combination of liquid absorption and biological treatment. The odor is first selectively absorbed by the liquid (absorbent) to form a mixed wastewater, and then the pollutants in it are degraded by the action of microorganisms. The specific process is as follows: first, the artificially selected special microbial communities are fixed on the biological carrier. When the polluted gas passes through the surface of the biological carrier in the early stage, the microbial communities that can obtain nutrients from the polluted gas will grow and reproduce rapidly under suitable temperature, humidity, pH value and other conditions, and form a biofilm on the surface of the carrier. When harmful components in the polluted gas come into contact with the biofilm, Captured and digested by corresponding microbial communities to remove pollutants. |
