| VACUDEST The VACUDEST process water treatment system is a modern, fully automatic and highly efficient recirculation system with the aim of conserving resources and reducing wastewater volumes to a minimum. New standards are set with regard to achievable distillate quality and overall efficiency. The VACUDEST - process is based on the principle of distillation under vacuum. With the aid of a non-contact vacuum pump, a pressure of approx. 600 mbars. is generated in the evaporator. At these conditions process water evaporates at approx. 86°C. The resulting water vapour is compressed by the vacuum pump to atmospheric pressure. The superheated steam, is fed into a heat exchanger. Since the water vapour has a condensation temperature of 100 °C at atmospheric pressure, it condenses in the heat exchanger due to the lower temperature of the process water of 86°C. The heat energy required for evaporation is thus released back into the process water. Energy recycling ensures cost efficiency This results in an energy balance in the system in which 95% of the energy is recycled. Due to this clever energy recycling, no additional energy is required apart from the drive energy of the vacuum pump. In summary the system only requires 40-65 kWh/m³ of process water to be treated, depending on the size of the unit. Turnkey solution from one source As no wastewater is like the other sometimes certain pre or after treatment steps are required to ensure the best results. H2O hereby serves as a 1 stop shop and provides all necessary equipment to provide a turnkey solution without having to involve several contractors. |
