Rotorshredder (RS) - Shredding, disaggregation and separation of reusable materials! The BHS Rotorshredder (type RS) shreds, separates and isolates materials. The shredding tools exert a high intense stress on the feed materials through impact, shock and shearing forces. The patented BHS Rotorshredder consists of a cylindrical working chamber with a vertical, high-speed shaft. Mounted on this are pairs of working tools in a vertical floating arrangement. The tools are stabilized and horizontally aligned by centrifugal force. The flexible suspension of the tools on the shaft also serves to provide overload protection. As an option, the rotor shredder can be equipped with a flywheel as an energy storage system. The cylinder features a double-wall construction. The inside wall consists of a solid split grate, the openings of which may vary based on the customer’s specific requirements. The input materials are fed into the working chamber from the top. Upon entering the crushing radius of the tools, they are subjected to very intense stress through a combination of impact, punching and shear forces. The selectively processed material then exits the working chamber through the split grate. Solid individual parts that cannot be shredded can exit the working chamber via a separate chute. |

BHS Biogrinder crushes and mashes organic domestic waste for fficient substrate processing! The BHS Biogrinder (type RBG) is used in the processing of biomass for biogas generation. The BHS Biogrinder is in use in southern Germany to crush and mash organic domestic waste. The upstream substrate processing speeds up gas production in the fermenter. Overall, the biogas plant operates more efficiently and reliably. |

-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rotary Shear (VR) - The universal shredder The rotary shear of type VR is a low-speed, high-torque twin-shaft crusher. The machine is suited for cutting large objects (such as domestic, commercial and bulky waste) and elastic materials (such as tires, cables, foils, paper and textiles) into small pieces. It also reduces large-volume input materials as well as parts with high unit weights. The rotary shear reliably achieves a very high level of cutting. Two rotor shafts, which rotate in opposite directions towards the center and collect the input material, are enclosed in a heavy-duty housing. Each shaft is equipped with several high-precision cutting tools that function like scissors. There are gripping hooks at the tip of each tool that ensure fast and reliable material infeed. The hydraulic pressure unit can be used to assist as needed in individual cases. Scrapers are placed on the outside of the shaft to prevent material from sticking to the rotating cutting tools. The particle size of the end product greatly depends on the width of the selected cutting blade. |

Rotor impact mill - Efficiently processing shredder fractions! The BHS rotor impact mill is a high-performance crusher with a vertical shaft that addresses the needs of the recycling industry. The mill’s unique impeller rotor works together with a toothed anvil ring to subject the inserted material to severe mechanical stress. Material compounds are crushed and separated selectively, entangled materials are isolated, and brittle-hard materials are crushed very finely. At the same time, metals are shaped into balls and cleaned. Rotor impact mill of type RPMV – the ball shaper | The feed material is loaded into the top center of the machine. When it impacts the rotor, the material is accelerated towards the outside by means of centrifugal forces; there, the horseshoe-shaped hammers engage it and throw it against the anvil ring, In the milling gap, it is crushed as a result of the impact and shearing forces. The material leaves the rotor through the gap and falls down through two outlet chutes. Rotor impact mill of type RPMX – the turbo-ball shaper | The material is selectively transported into the gap between the anvil ring and hammer from above by means of the rotor cover plate. In this way, the full height of the grinding gap is utilized, resulting in a longer retention time and a higher stress frequency. An intense ball shaping effect is achieved in combination with a high circumferential speed, a narrow grinding gap of 4 to 6 mm and a specially toothed anvil ring. |

Pre-shredder - The right tool for tough shredding tasks! The pre-shredder of type VSR is a low-speed, high-torque twin-shaft crusher. Each shaft is equipped with rotating tools that reliably tear the feed material. The machine is suitable for the pre-shredding of particularly bulky or voluminous materials (such as domestic, industrial, commercial and bulky waste, as well as construction waste). Both rotor shafts engage the feed material. The shafts rotate alternately inward and outward. Each shaft is equipped with several tearing tools. The rotating tearing tool is surrounded by a stationary tearing table, or a crossbeam and scraper. Shredding takes place between the individual rotating tearing tools and the stationary assemblies. In the process, the machine automatically carries out a sequence involving different directions of rotation. As soon as the feed material has reached the desired size, it exits the machine through the bottom. |

Universal shredder - Continuous high-performance shredder! The universal shredder of type NGU is a high-speed single-shaft crusher designed for pre- and post-cutting of any material that can be cut. This includes paper, files, data media, textiles, wood, cables, plastics and packaging. It shreds the feed material to a size between 10 and 120 mm. Function: The loose feed material is loaded into the infeed hopper. A hydraulically driven slide pushes the material along the base plate and toward the shredding system. The feed material is shredded between the rotor equipped with blades and the counter-blade mounted on the static blade seat. Once the shredded material reaches a defined particle size, it falls out of the machine through a screen basket. The size of the discharge material is defined by the hole pitch of the screen. It can range from 10 to 120 mm. |
